Reduce time and attendance administration and achieve 100% data accuracySMART Time and Attendance ensures 100% data accuracy in the collection of NHS working hours information in real-time. By automating the collection of attendance data, the SMART solution helps to achieve data accuracy, reduced administration costs and compliance of working time regulations with minimum effort.Automation of this process in place of a manual system can reduce the number of hours spent entering and checking timesheet data to zero, a process which could take an average of 25-30 days per month at a Trust with 6,000 employees. SMART has been providing automated Time and Attendance applications for 21 years to customers such as; JCB, Sainsbury’s, DHL, Ocado and Jaguar to name a few. Key Benefits
Key Features SMART Attendance Management SMART’s real-time Time and Attendance solution enables managers and supervisors to monitor employee arrivals and departures. A single screen shows in real-time who has logged in for work and who has failed to turn up. Alert mechanisms are available to automate missed logins or employees returning to work from long term sickness thus prompting Return-to-Work procedures. Agenda for Change Rules Configuration The SMART solution is delivered, as standard, with full support for the Agenda for Change contractual rules of employment, achieved through continued partnership with ESR and the NHS. This ‘pre configuration’ dramatically reduces the time required to implement the SMART Time and Attendance system and to deliver expected benefits. ESR Integration Advanced integration with ESR has been developed in association with the NHS and McKesson to ensure single entry of data. The SMART eHL Time and Attendance solution is automatically populated with employee records, planned absence and organisation group data via ESR. On authorisation SMART eHL posts payroll and absence data automatically to ESR for payment. SMART Data Capture SMART consolidates information from data collection devices such as; biometric hand readers, ID badge readers, SMART eTouchkiosk, employee PC or mobile telephone into a single, comprehensive and real-time database. All of these provide vital, timely and accurate information, whilst reducing administrative workload and eliminating data entry errors. SMART Remote logging Enable remote workers to record working time accurately by telephone, a key feature for Mental Health Trusts for the support of lone workers in potentially dangerous or vulnerable situations. SMART Activity Logging The Activity Logging feature helps to manage employee productivity by comparing ‘attended’ hours with ‘productive’ hours. Employees can swipe on and off ‘tasks ‘via swipe stations which provide time and attendance data for analysis and reporting. SMART Flexitime & Annualised Hours Designed for departments within a Trust where either part or the entire workforce is working to annual hours or flexitime contracts; with automatic calculation of data on time worked and time owed for ESR. Managers are automatically alerted to potential breaches of work rules, and management reports help optimise roster patterns for the most productive and cost-effective staff deployment.
